A tired grooming scissor folds coat instead of cutting it. We restore the original edge angle on a dedicated scissor jig, polish the inside, set the pivot and test-cut on coat.

Check-in
Every scissor is logged, photographed and checked for burrs, nicks and pivot play.

Restore the angle
Edge ground back to its factory angle on a variable-speed scissor jig. No hand-held guessing.

Polish the inside
Hollow-ground faces cleaned up so the blades glide instead of grabbing.

Set the pivot
Tension set for a smooth, even close. Adjustable screws are set to your preference if you note it.

Test on coat
Cut-tested on real coat and tissue, oiled and returned in a card wrap.

Good to know
Can you sharpen thinners and chunkers?
Yes. The cutting blade is honed and the teeth are cleaned up so they grip without chewing.
Will sharpening change how my scissors feel?
No. We restore the original angle and set the pivot to a normal tension. Add a note if you like it tighter or looser.
Can you fix a nick?
Small nicks come out with the sharpen. Deep ones are quoted before we start.
What about cheap scissors?
We'll always sharpen them, but if it would cost more than the scissor, we'll say so.
