A workshop that only does one thing.
Edgewise was set up in Manchester in 2026 to give groomers and barbers a sharpening service as precise as the work they do. We don't sell tools. We just make the ones you have cut properly again.
The trade deserved better than "leave it with me."
Sharpening has always run on trust: a man with a van, a price in his head and tools back whenever. We built Edgewise around the opposite: a clear price, a tracked parcel, a check-in note, a test-cut and a date.
We're not a tool shop with a sharpening sideline. Not selling tools means we can always tell you the truth about yours.
Four rules on the bench.
Right machine, right edge
Flat hones for blades, a scissor jig for bevels, water stones for convex. Never one wheel for everything.
Least steel possible
We take off only what's needed, so your tools get more sharpens in their life.
Test before it leaves
Every tool test-cut. If it doesn't pass, it goes back on the bench.
Tell the truth
If something can't be saved, we say so and don't charge.

Our workshop is in Manchester, with a drop-off counter by appointment and collection rounds across Greater Manchester. Everywhere else in the UK is a free pack away.
